The

South Eastern Equestrian Trails Conference: The 2008 conference was hosted by the SC Horsemen’s Council.
It was held in Charleston, SC on July 31-Aug 2, 2008. The SCHC enlisted the support of most of the state and federal agencies in the
state who manage equestrian trails. A lot of planning went into this
process.
H. Cooper Black Recreational Area: Site Manager, Bonnie Lewis, of SCPRT, continues to make
improvements to this large equestrian oriented facility. Through her
efforts it has become one of the premier sites in South Carolina for
equestrians to ride the well-maintained trails, stable their horses

American Horse Council Chat Site
"This chat group provides a communication link
between trail groups across the country. We hope that South Carolina
Trail riders will share some of their success stories and use the board
as a way to find information. We have found that many issues are common
in each state and if we can draw on others’ experiences, sometimes it
prevents us from re-inventing the wheel." (posted October
