2012 Horse Council Expo: Date changed to May 5

The date has changed for our 2012 Expo. It will be held at the SC Equine Park near Camden, SC on May 5, 2012. We have some excellent clinicians, vendors, events, and horses aready lined up. SC Horsemen’s Council Annual Expo and Business Meeting

Held Feb.5, 2011 at SC Equine Park in Camden, SC

Another great equine event was held at the SC Equine Park in Camden, SC on Saturday, February 5, 2011 . The rain did not deter the true horse people from coming out. It did rain all day Friday as the members of the SCHC Board of Directors and volunteers braved 40 degree weather in their rainsuits to set up tents and displays.

Stallions to Gelding Clinics – South Carolina

12 Stallions Gelded at State’s First Free Clinic

Second Stallions to Geldings Clinic

Feb 20, 2011 was the second gelding clinic the SCHC helped sponsor with Dream Equine; SCHC member Dr. Rebecca Reid-Taylor, DVM; and SCHC farm member Beth Gaston of Gaston Road Equestrian Center in Richburg. Dr. Reid-Taylor gelded 11 stallions including a donkey, several minis, horses, colts, and even a Chincoteague Pony.
