SC Horsemen’s Council Board of Directors

The SC Horsemen’s Council Board consists of a combination of elected & appointed Officers and Directors. The Board of Directors represents the SC Horsemen’s Council and acts on its behalf in accordance with the By-Laws established and approved by the General Membership. The Board seeks to have representatives from each district of the state and several at-large directors. Board membership is open to any SC Horsemen’s Council member in good standing who expresses an interest in participating and offers himself or herself as a candidate for election.

 Directors are elected for a term of 3 years with a maximum eligibility of 2 terms of continuous service. A Director may be re elected after relinquishing his/her office for a period of one year.

 The President serves for a one year term and must be re-elected annually. The President can serve a maximum of six terms.  The President may be nominated for re-election after relinquishing his/her office for a period of one year.

 Appointed Officers (Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-Presidents, etc.) are appointed by the Board and serve at the pleasure of the Board.
